– INTRODUCTION
As you’ll be aware the Met Office has issue a yellow warning regarding very strong winds and heavy rain for tonight and tomorrow. At present the worst time is until 10am. In light of this, and with the safety of students and staff in mind, we will have a late start to our school day.
Students will arrive at 11.15 for a late break, food will be available as normal. Period 3 will commence at 11.30, and the day will continue as per normal times of day. After school detentions will be deferred to Friday.
However, we will continue to monitor the Met Office this evening and in the morning, and should conditions be deemed unsafe we will close for the full day. A decision on this will be made by 8am and communication will be sent via SchoolComms and posted on our social media platforms.
While reluctant to take this decision, the safety of students and staff are paramount.
