Friends of CAN

Research has shown that students perform better when parents are involved in their education.

Formerly known as the Parent Forum, Friends of CAN is a partnership between parent/carers and the Academy. It is a valuable way to share ideas and views and make suggestions for improvement. 

Every term parents and carers are invited to ‘Tea with the Headteacher’ to discuss items suggested by both parent/carers as well as the Academy.  These meetings are held both in school and virtually.

The aims are to: 

• Work together to improve the education provided for our children
• Share information, knowledge and skills
• Meet in a supportive environment
• Further improve communications between parents/carers and staff/governors
